Instead of building another generic, off-the-shelf product, I’m developing a bespoke Kennels & Cattery Management System — and I’m inviting a small number of real businesses to help shape it from the ground up.
I’m currently looking for 5 kennels or catteries to come on board as helper businesses during development.
The goal is simple:
👉 Build a system around how kennels actually operate, not how software companies think they should.
What the System Will Cover
The system is being designed to handle all the key operational areas kennels and catteries rely on, including:
Bookings and availability
Vaccination records
Feeding instructions and care notes
Customer and pet records
Invoicing and payments
Automated reminders and notifications
Clear reporting and admin dashboards
Just as importantly, the system will be shaped by your feedback — ensuring it fits your workflows rather than forcing you to adapt to the software.
What’s Involved for Helper Businesses
Each helper business will:
Invest £850 + VAT as a contribution towards development time
Provide insight into how their kennel or cattery operates
Give feedback during the build so features are refined correctly
In return, helper businesses will receive:
A modern website and fully integrated kennel management system
Direct influence over how the software is designed
12 months with no monthly subscription, saving £125 + VAT per month
In simple terms: your initial investment is paid back through the subscription savings — while you end up with software built specifically for your type of business.
How the Process Works
Places are limited to 5 businesses only
Development will begin once all places are filled
Payment is only requested once the helper group is complete
Places are reserved via the website with email verification
This ensures fairness, transparency, and that the system is built with a full range of real-world input.
